Problem Commodity Brokers (Brokerage Firms that have been Barred from the Industry)
Many of these Commodity Brokerage Firms have been banned from registering as brokers. Many of the Principles and brokers at the firms has also been barred from registration and have been hit with steep fines. These firms have basically been singles out as the worst in the futures industry. Several brokerage firms go back to the 1980's and others have been very recent. This is not a representation of Commodity Brokers in general, however, it should make us aware that there are some bad brokers out there and look for the warning signs.
